At nearly 8,500 feet the city is nicknamed “The City Above the Clouds,” and features mild weather similar to its neighboring city, Colorado Springs. Only 18 miles from Colorado Springs, Woodland Park has a small town appeal, but is actually the largest city in Teller County. The economy thrives on tourism with nearby Mueller and Eleven Mile State Parks featuring camping, fishing, hiking, and ATV off-roading.
